So today was literally the worst weather EVER which resulted in an indoors day. When it’s cold and dark outside all I want to do is snuggle up warm with the fire on, watch films and drink warm drinks…so that’s what I did. I have to be in the right frame of mind for a Hot Chocolate as a tea or coffee usually wins hands down but with a few added extras, Hot Chocolate definitely won the gold. Here’s how I made it:
What you will need:
150ml Semi Skimmed or Full Fat Milk
4 tea spoons of cocoa powder
2 Candy Canes
A small handful of Chocolate Buttons
- Pour the milk into a mug (suitable for microwaving) and heat in the microwave for 2 minutes. Once finished, stir the milk and heat for a further minute.
- Using a blender blend up one of the candy canes into fine pieces and add to the warm milk along with the cocoa powder and the chocolate buttons and stir well.
- Once this is all stirred, add the marshmallows and top with squirty cream until the mug is full to the brim
- Finish by adding the remaining Candy Cane to the top for decoration.
